William Blake - National Portrait Galley, London

The Poems of William Blake

Largely overlooked in his lifetime, Blake followed his own creative path. In doing so he created some of the most visionary work of the Romantic period.

Milton, better known today as the hymn Jerusalem, was written by Blake as a defiant attack on industrialisation.
