Name: Pete Eason
Job: Sound Recordist
Age: 50
Luxury items: Industrial-sized jar of Marmite. My music. Oh, and a satellite dish so that I can download the Archers and other Radio 4 essentials.
Phobia: Sharing my tent with uninvited guests.
Will miss: My loved ones, doing normal stuff, my Marmite jar (I forgot to pack it).
Looking forward to: Recording the sounds of the forest in the early dawn. The sounds of storms and the chance to record a place that is beyond the influence of man and his machines. Experiencing the vastness of one of the greatest rivers on the planet and living with some of its people along the way.
Having the opportunity to observe the conflict between the needs of conservation and the realities of a modern-day world. Going home.
Dreading: Realising that I actually am sharing my tent with uninvited guests. Getting lost.

Day two of the tickling ceremony and excitement was growing as we followed the group of men down to the riverbank. Bruce was right in among them as they climbed into a canoe. There were already too many people in it but we really wanted this sequence so Pete and I crammed ourselves in and kept filming.
