Hollywood sign

The famous Hollywood sign, which was facing demolition, has been saved by a large donation from Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy. Callum and Kaz learn about his involvement and what the sign represents.

The Hollywood sign was constructed in 1923 but at that time it didn't say 'Hollywood'. What did it say?

Tinsel is long thin strips of shiny paper used as a cheap decoration. Tinseltown is a word used for Hollywood. It suggests something that looks attractive but is actually cheap and not necessarily high quality.
