It's a bit of a hike down to this beach but well worth it as it's one of the most picturesque views in Britain.

Three Cliffs takes its name after the three sea cliffs which jut out of the headland there.

The beach often has Blue Flag status and dogs are not allowed on it during the summer months.

There's a small car park right at the top and a path down through a few gates. Respect the residents who live there and make an effort to close the gates behind you as there are sheep grazing nearby.

A small river known as Pennard Pil meanders down through the middle of the beach and into the sea, forming good sand banks for surfing and the bass fishing can also be good.

Up above the beach lies the remains of Pennard Castle, a 12th century castle that's long been associated with fairies.

You must be extremely careful when surfing and swimming here as there can be dangerous rip currents, on the incoming tide. The beach is generally best from mid to low tide.
