The album, her seventh, was been produced by David Foster (Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Seal) with her in Los Angeles.
"Katherine's voice is right up there with the best" says Foster. "She has this unique ability to think and perform right outside the box. Over the 40 years I've been in the business, Katherine has to be one of the most unique talents I've ever worked with. This record we've made I'm immensely proud of".
"Last year when the opportunity to work with David came up, for me it was a dream come true" recalls Katherine. "I've always loved his style, what he brings to the music, and it's been an absolutely amazing experience working with him. This is the album I've always dreamt of making".
Believe features a cover of Sarah McLachlan's Angel, a reworking of Evanescence's Bring Me To Life and a duet with Andrea Bocelli for the title track.
Other partnerships on the album come courtesy of Richard Marx, Chris Botti and André Rieu.
Jenkins heads out on a UK tour in March 2010, including a Welsh date at the Cardiff International Arena on Monday 15 March.
