Welsh writer and broadcaster, Wynford Vaughan-Thomas, talks candidly to Michael Parkinson in 1981 about his dangerous journey in a Lancaster Bomber as it completed an air raid over Berlin in 1943.

"I'll never forget coming up to Berlin. Literally it was surrounded by a bullring of searchlights ... and it was terrifying."
