"I'm going to retire from all that. I'm going to be me at last." Jenny McGregor's digital story made with a mobile phone.

Transcript

"I don't like to be told what to do. As I approach my 60th birthday, I know that I'm expected to sit and watch the telly, mind the grandchildren, spend time in the garden, do the knitting, washing, cleaning, and ironing.

But this is the birthday where I'm going to retire from all that. I'm going to be me at last.

I want to go ski jumping in France, drive my sports car around Wales, sail a yacht 'round Anglesey, scuba dive in Egypt.

I want to visit castles, watch the seagulls fly the nest, sit on the beach and watch the tide ebbing and flowing. I want to be outspoken and outrageous.

Climbing Everest is a no, no. I don't do cold and hills, but everything else will be considered."

"Wow! I am only 31 and I hope when I turn 60 I retire from all the house work for at least a day and go for broke, ya know. I was very inspired and awe struck by your video. Way to go, very proud of you my fair lady."
Dee from United States Michigan.

"I find it really cool that you are very adventurous and willing to travel and try new things. Even though as people we may get older, our sense of adventure should never leave us. Like you, when I turn 60 I hope to be able to scuba dive, travel, and maybe even skydive. Keep doing what you are doing, you give hope for us all!"
Mike from Canada.
