"It's brilliant that they took me in and had a little faith."

Transcript

"When I decided to leave college and focus on my band fulltime, I knew it was a massive decision to make. Unfortunately, my mum and her partner didn't really agree with my decision. So I had to leave home, which was pretty bad. I went to stay with my grandparents and eventually my dad. It's brilliant that they took me in and had a little faith. Loads of people thought I was making a big mistake.

Five years on and I'm still living with my dad and I'm still in the band. Over the years I've watched friends go to university and move on and at times it's been quite difficult. But I've always known that things would turn out OK, and now it's going really well. Just before Christmas we went down to London and signed a five album deal with a major record label which was pretty amazing."
