Something you find when you have kids is when they attempt to talk you provide ad-libs. Now an ad-lib is an improvised line, usually said in the gap in between lines. So when your kid tries talking but can't quite pronounce, try repeating the right word to help them out. This is called recasting, a useful steer, a gentle correction for them to hear. Repeating is teaching a foundation of learning by repeating the words, you will reaffirm it. Their progress with speech with positive attention so keep ad-libbing on the words that they mention.
