Dance to one of the most high-energy, entertaining swing bands around – The Jive Aces – with professional jive and swing dancers on hand to demonstrate some stunning moves and help you learn the basics or improve your dancing skills. Why not make a real night of it by dressing up a la 1940s? We all know that fundraising begins with FUN, so we've got some brilliant stand-up comedy with Colin Owens and Ed Aczel providing the belly-laughs. Ricky Gervais of The Office fame was once heard to say of Colin Owens: "Nice DIY story."Ìý See?Ìý You'd be hard-pressed to come up with a better recommendation than that! Pudsey's favourite pop... Pudsey's hand-picked some of the best live rock music from all over the eastern region, so between bouts of dancing, you can watch some great unsigned local acts including Lot 55, Respond, Rosalita, The Ryes, Six Point Five and Mutabilis.Ìý

And there’s more… As well as a superb mix of music, dancing and comedy, there are loads of other activities to try, plus special exhibitions, and a choice of hot and cold refreshments will be on sale at Cafe Express to keep you going throughout the evening. Fifteen minutes of fame…

OK, so it’s a few more than 15 minutes, with a live radio show broadcast from INSIDE Concorde, and the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's Children in Need programme - hosted as always by that cheeky Irish chappy, Terry Wogan - dropping by to see how things are going at Duxford - you might even find yourself on national television! |
