Join us for our World Book Day 2025 – Live Lesson on Thursday 6 March, 11:00 on this page.

Join us as we celebrate the joy of books, authors and reading for pleasure in a World Book Day lesson for 7-11 year-olds.

Hosted by Ben Shires and Konnie Huq from Batley Library in West Yorkshire, in this lesson we explore genre, characters and storytelling with amazing authors including Michael Rosen and Katie and Kevin Tsang.

Created in partnership with , this curriculum-linked English Live Lesson focuses on reading for pleasure through fun interactive activities and aims to encourage your pupils’ love of books and a positive attitude towards reading.

Please note that this lesson was published in March 2023 and we are no longer reviewing emails and messages from schools for inclusion in the lesson.
