Birdwatching is a great activity to help get your children interacting with nature, whether its done out of your window, in your garden, local park or school playground.
Data from the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch and Big Schools Birdwatch over the years has shown that some of the garden birds that are most likely to visit your garden include starlings, house sparrows, blackbirds, blue and great tits, robins, greenfinches and collared doves.
