Family planting tree

A Place To Remember

If you've lost someone close to you, you'll know how important it is to keep their memory living on in your heart. Many families came to Bradwell to help 成人快手 Radio Stoke plant trees in remembrance of their loved ones.

"Because we can remember and see it grow"

Jake, 6 yrs old, from Smallthorne

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Bradwell Crematorium in North Staffordshire, new life is taking root.听

On Sunday, 25 November, 2007, many families came along to help 成人快手 Radio Stoke plant a native woodland of hazel, cherry, and beech trees to name a few.

The tree planting event was part of 成人快手 Radio Stoke's Happy Appeal; a year long campaign raising awareness and money for Macmillan Cancer support.听 To see more photos of the tree planting, and other Happy Appeal events, see the link at the top right hand corner of the page.

Digging it!

Far from being a sad occasion, it was touching to see people supporting each other, and all thought this was a very fitting way to celebrate a life, and remember a loved one.听听

Helping out with all the hard work on the day were a team from the Newcastle Countryside Project.听

People also had to opportunity to add the name of their loved one to a list that will be engraved on a plaque and placed at the site in the future.听

Above all, the copse of trees represents your memories, and in years to come it will be the perfect place to visit, reflect, and remember.听

Take a breather ...

The trees were funded by the 成人快手 Breathing Places Campaign, a project that aims to bring nature to you, whether it be on a large scale, or in your own back garden.听

There are lots of way you can enjoy the great outdoors,听 from a simple walk in the woods or, if you're feeling more adventurous, you can join your local community group to help create a breathing place where you live.听
