Watch: Video poetry

Your 成人快手 Staffordshire website always likes to try new things. So we thought we'd push the boundaries and get a bit arty with video poetry!

If you don't get much of a chance to read or listen to poetry, 成人快手 Staffordshire online can help.

Lichfield based poet Stewart Derry approached us a few months ago with the idea of getting some poetry听produced and filmed specially for our site. We thought it would be a good idea to try this artistic experiment locally so we set him to work!

With the help from our Video Reporter Tim Parker, Stewart wrote the poems and created the visual aspect for video. He also did most of the filming.

We've commissioned five in all which you can watch on this page.

Take a look and tell us what you think!

Leaves

A Sea of Stories

A short film about the landscape of memory inspired by the wonderful setting of the memorial arboretum in Alrewas.

Stained glass window

Cathedral Resurrection

The first of three films inspired by the recent discovery in Lichfield Cathedral of a stone carving of the Angel Gabriel dating back to c.AD700.

The Angel Gabriel emerges out of a dark and violent past to encounter life in the 21st century. What strange encounters await him in the city of Lichfield?

Blurry street scene

City Streets

The second of three films inspired by the Lichfield Angel. The Angel leaves the cathedral and flies into the heart of the city in search of answers, but is too weak and confused to reveal the truth until he meets with a beautiful young woman.

Flame

The Exchange

The conclusion to the three films inspired by the Lichfield Angel. The Angel Gabriel goes on a perilous journey, inhabiting the lives of very different people in the city until, at last, he discovers another guiding light.

Moon

One Dreamer, One Journey

A recurring nightmare unravels in one mans journey across the county.

thought the videos were moving and captivating. The woman was beatuiful and the young girl was fantastic.

I really enjoyed these poems - evoked Lichfield well for me as a former resident! The ideas of materialism versus the spiritual needs of society worked really well. I liked the images with the poems it made me think on two levels. I hope the 成人快手 commissions you to do some more as I would love to see some more of your work.

The combination of words and film works well. Very poignant, a worthwhile tribute to both the arboretum (which I know well) and the fallen ones it commemorates.
