Knit 3 tubular rows. Row Counter 000 Tension 4 Knit 2 rows. Make a small buttonhole over the centre two stitches. Knit 17 rows. Decrease 1 stitch at both ends of both beds. Knit 2 rows. Transfer ribber stitches to main bed Knit 1 row. Tension 6 (18 stitches) Remove on Waste Yarn. Bonnet Tension 0/0 Cast on 71 stitches using 1x1 rib. Knit 3 tubular rows. Row Counter 000 Using tension 3 knit 6 to 8 rows. Transfer stitches to main bed. Knit 1 row tension 7. Transfer stitches onto alternate needles (Brother 950I users pop on lace carriage stitch world 532 2 passes with lace carriage.) Knit 1 row Decrease 1 stitch (70) sts Push 26 needles at opposite end of the carriage to H.P. Set carriage to hold Knit 1 row. Row Counter 000: Tension 7 Knit 12 rowsTension 6 Knit 10 rows Break off Yarn. Put 26 sts to hold Move carriage to opposite side and put remaining 26 sts into working position Knit 22 rows to match the first side. Break off Yarn. With wrong side facing return flap sts onto centre 18 needles. Carriage on the Right Tension 5 Knit 6 Rows Transfer sts onto alternate needles Tension 3 Knit 8 rows. Break off Yarn , leaving a long Yarn end. Thread the long yarn through stitches using a bodkin and release from the machine. Pull up thread and secure. Join seam for approx 5cm. Attach ribbons (Do not thread through holes they are for the Hospital to use.) You can vary the size of this bonnet by adjusting the number of stitches cast on. |
