Scotland's men beat Switzerland to set up a European Curling Championships final against Sweden on Saturday.

Bruce Mouat's rink are aiming for a fourth title in four attempts, while Swedish skip Niklas Edin is the Olympic champion, with seven European gold medals to his name.

In a repeat of last year's final, the Scots took three in the eighth end in a 7-4 victory over the Swiss in Aberdeen.

Italy, unbeaten all week, were edged out 7-6 by Sweden in their semi-final.

Joel Retornaz had steered his Italian team to nine straight wins in the round-robin but came up just short against the vastly experienced Edin.

The Scots finished second in the standings with a record of seven wins and two losses, with those reverses coming against Italy and Sweden.

Edin also got the better of Mouat in the 2022 Olympic final.

Having prevailed 9-6 in Monday's first meeting with Switzerland, Scotland moved 3-1 up after three ends and were just one ahead until a sweeping error allowed them to take control at 6-2 with just two ends remaining.

"It definitely feels like our best performance this week," Mouat told 成人快手 Scotland. "All four of us played well and put a good Swiss team under pressure.

"We play against the Swedes a lot on tour, so we know them pretty well. We're going to have to play well to win but we're feeling good and confident.

"If we play like we just did, it's going to be a great match. We'll just have to make the shots when they matter."
