GB's Atkin wins big air bronze at World Championships
British freestyle skier Izzy Atkin won bronze in the big air at the World Championships in Park City, Utah.
Atkin, who won Britain's first Olympic medal on skis with slopestyle bronze in Pyeongchang 12 months ago, was fourth after the first run but moved up two places after the second.
The 20-year-old finished with a score of 168.75, 16 points behind gold medallist Tess Ledeux of France.
America's Julia Krass won the silver medal with a score of 173.75.
"I'm really happy with the way I skied," said Atkin, who had not competed in a major big air competition for almost two years.
"I wasn't expecting to be on the podium so this feels amazing."
Ski big air will make its Olympic debut at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.
Atkin's medal was Great Britain's second of the Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard World Championships following Charlotte Bankes' snowboard cross silver on Friday - Britain's first World Championship medal in snowboarding.
