Leicester Tigers have signed Australian forward Jed Holloway on a short-term deal.

The 32-year-old, who can play at lock or flanker, has 12 Test caps for the Wallabies, with the last coming in July 2023.

Holloway has most recently been playing for Super Rugby side New South Wales Waratahs, where he made over 100 appearances, and is due to join Major League Rugby franchise San Diego Legion for 2025.

Holloway said he was very excited to be joining Tigers for the "next couple of months".

Leicester face Sale away on Saturday when the Premiership returns, before two Champions Cup group games in six days against Bordeaux Begles and Sharks.

"Coming out of the international window, we obviously have a few guys missing in that lock, back-row role and we have big games coming up in the league. Europe games as well," Leicester head coach Michael Cheika.

鈥淛ed's got the qualities in his game that we need, so adding add him to the roster to help with the selection challenges we have is great."

Tigers have won five of their first six games of the Premiership season and trail early leaders Bath by one point.
