Blumberg becomes new Dragons chief

Rhys Blumberg has been named as Dragons' new chief executive officer [CEO], replacing Graeme Bradbury in the role.

Blumberg moves to Rodney Parade following a four-year spell as chief operating officer at Cardiff Rugby.

The 37-year-old worked as general manager, commercial manager and head of sales and marketing during three spells with Cardiff.

Blumberg said: 鈥淚 am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Dragons as CEO. Having engaged with all three owners extensively, I am extremely excited about their energy, enthusiasm and commitment to make the Dragons as good as they can possibly be."

Blumberg is one of a number of changes in governance at Dragons, with David Wright replacing David Buttress as chairman from 1 July.

Wright said: 鈥淲e are absolutely delighted that Rhys is joining us and excited about the impact he can make right across our club.
