Hull forward Jack Ashworth has received a three-match ban for his dismissal against Catalans Dragons on Saturday.

Ashworth was sent to the sin-bin for a hit on Dragons' Chris Satae late in the first half of his side's 26-12 defeat.

The Rugby Football League has also handed St Helens centre Mark Percival a two-match ban for his controversial dismissal against Salford on Friday.

Percival saw red in the 43rd minute of his side's 24-20 home defeat for a shoulder charge on Jack Ormondroyd.

Both players have been charged with a head contact offence and fined 拢250, while Huddersfield Giants' Jack Murchie and Wigan Warriors' Luke Thompson have received the same financial penalties but avoided suspensions.

Murchie was charged with head contact during the Giants' 50-8 win at Castleford and Thompson with dangerous contact during a 60-22 thrashing of London Broncos, although both players' offences were deemed on the lower end of the scale to Ashworth and Percival's challenges.

Ashworth will miss Hull's home game on Saturday against Leigh Leopards, Challenge Cup sixth-round tie the following weekend and trip to Hull KR on March 29.

St Helens will be without Percival for their visit to Leeds Rhinos on Friday and their fixture in the cup, which will be decided when the draw is made on Monday.
