    Mick Payne
    Co-commentator on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Lancashire

Preston North End have got to take these last 20 minutes and just carve some opportunities.

It hasn't clicked since the first 10 minutes. They looked really on it, had the bit behind the teeth and they were going for it. You wouldn't say Begovic has really had to make a save since that worldie.

  2. Postpublished at 71 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Preston are yet to register a single shot in the second half.

20 minutes left on the clock and unless something drastically changes, you'd say QPR are looking comfortable here.

  3. Postpublished at 70 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

The QPR free-kick that follows Ryan Ledson's yellow card is sent straight into the wall by Ilias Chair.

The ball rebounds out for a throw-in deep in the Preston half but it's cleared by Robbie Brady when it's launched into the box.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 69 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Ryan Ledson goes into the book for cynically bringing down Chris Willock who had been racing in toward the Preston box.

Willock has been sensational for QPR today and has caused Preston plenty of problems.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 68 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

    Changes on both sides.

First, Preston make a double change. Layton Stewart and the talismanic Mads Frokjaer come on for Emil Riis and Ben Woodburn.

Meanwhile, QPR send on Paul Smyth in place of Lucas Andersen, who's had a great game today.

  6. Postpublished at 65 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Another QPR corner, this time as Ilias Chair and Steve Cook combine outside the box.

Cook whips a ball into the centre of the Preston box and the Rs can't quite work a shot away before North End sheepishly clear their lines once more.

    It is all QPR today.

  7. 'QPR fans are 12th man'published at 18:38 British Summer Time 20 April

    Mick Payne
    Co-commentator on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Lancashire

You've got to say, the fans at QPR do get behind their team. When things are going well, they are like a 12th man. They are really pushing on their team here.

  8. Postpublished at 62 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

It's not going well for Preston keeper Freddie Woodman.

He charges out of his box to clear the ball away and slices it out for a QPR throw-in as the home fans jeer him.

Then soon after, Jimmy Dunne heads towards the bottom right-hand corner and Woodman spills his initial save before moving to clutch the ball.

  9. 'Both sides having a go'published at 18:35 British Summer Time 20 April

    QPR 1-0 Preston

    Mick Payne
    Co-commentator on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Lancashire

Both sides are having a go. There's a tempo to the game but at the moment, Preston have got to be a bit more cautious. Don't give it away cheap, make it work for you.

  10. CLOSE!published at 60 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Preston struggle to clear their lines from the corner that follows and keeper Freddie Woodman is saved once again!

This time he sheepishly tries to punch the ball out of the box but he can't connect and Preston's back line spares him by clearing the ball virtually off the line as QPR pounce.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 58 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Robbie Brady goes into the book for a swiped low tackle on QPR's Chris Willock.

That's fair enough, I'd say. QPR whip the free-kick that follows into the box and they're gifted with a corner as Preston head it away.

  12. Postpublished at 57 mins

Emil Riis whips a quickfire ball into the QPR box after he worked onto Ryan Ledson's delivery.

QPR continuing to pressure Preston, this time as Lucas Andersen wins a corner for the hosts.

He duly takes the corner, it pinballs in the box and an unmarked Steve Cook tries to bobble it home with a half volley but it bounces out for a Preston goal kick.

  14. 'Preston need class'published at 18:26 British Summer Time 20 April

    QPR 1-0 Preston

    Mick Payne
    Co-commentator on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Lancashire

QPR will get numbers behind the ball and make it difficult for Preston, but Preston have to play with real passion. Class, if you like. QPR don't want any momentum from them. They are quite happy to let the game break up.

  15. Postpublished at 49 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

At the other end, Chris Willock whips in a lovely low delivery across the face of the Preston goal.

But his fizzed cross can't quite reach Kenneth Paal at the back post.

  16. Postpublished at 48 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Liam Millar tries to weave his way through into the QPR box to whip a delivery in towards his Preston teammates.

He beats one man, then beats another, but in the process he puts too much weight on the ball and it rolls away for another QPR goal kick.

  17. Postpublished at 46 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Robbie Brady tries to play a cross-field pass towards his onrushing Preston teammate Liam Millar.

But it sails out for a QPR goal kick and jeer go up around Loftus Road.

  18. SECOND HALFpublished at 45 mins

    QPR 1-0 Preston

Back under way in west London and Preston will need to be an awful lot better than they were in the first half if they are to deny QPR victory, here.

A potentially massive 45 minutes approaches in the race against the drop from the Championship.

  19. Youngsters give relegated Vale some cheerpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 20 April

    FT: Bolton 2-0 Port Vale

    Sanny Rudravajhala
³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 5 Live at the Toughsheet Stadium

Vale players left the pitch after saluting their long-suffering supporters. Their two seasons in the third tier come to an end.

They were outclassed in the first half but held on and despite an improved second half they fell to a superb strike from Aaron Collins, and Cameron Jermone sweeping home in injury time put the boot in.

Heartening performances off the bench from 16-year-old Jack Sharrock and England youth international Bailey Dipepa at 17 show brighter days may be ahead but with Burton’s victory over Reading, Vale are down.

For Bolton, they had to rely on some fine saves from Nathan Baxter to keep them ahead and they continued to be wasteful at the other end.

Their automatic promotion hopes have not ended today but the home fans know they are likely to have one more game here at the Toughsheet Stadium, a play-off semi-final awaits.

  20. Crawley goal a relief for Colchesterpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 20 April

    FT: Notts County 1-0 Colchester

    Alastair Yeomans
    Final Score at Meadow Lane

The 756 Colchester fans present at Meadow Lane will have been most relieved when news came through that Sutton had conceded a late equaliser at home to Crawley.

So still work to do for Colchester to avoid relegation but one more point to be absolutely safe.
