Sulaimon Adelekan: None of the debutants have found the net so far and Panama don't look like scoring either.

  9. 'Panama need to change gameplan'published at 12:48 British Summer Time 24 July 2023

    Brazil 2-0 Panama

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV

Panama need to learn quickly when they can play out - you can't do that against certain teams.

They obviously have capable players who can pass and move but doing it at 2-0 down against Brazil probably isn't right.

    Brazil 2-0 Panama

Panama will be content to have restricted Brazil to just the two goals, so far.

  11. 'So much pressure'published at 12:42 British Summer Time 24 July 2023

    Brazil 2-0 Panama

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV

Both goals come from that left-hand side.

Panama have been well organised in defence but they are just under so much pressure.

Again, Borges gets herself in a really good area and she's the first to react.

  12. goal

GOAL - Brazil 2-0 Panamapublished at 39 mins

    Alr Borges

Two for Ary Borges, two for Brazil.

Once again the goal is created down the left flank, the cross finds Ary Borges who heads at goal but is parried by Yenith Bailey, only for the ball to rebound straight to the Brazilian and she converts for her second.

  13. 'Bailey making big saves'published at 12:39 British Summer Time 24 July 2023

    Brazil 1-0 Panama

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV

Yenith Bailey has made a couple of really good saves in some important situations.

The last thing Panama want is to go in 2-0 down at half time, especially after all the pressure they've been under.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Brazil 1-0 Panama

Luana curls an effort at goal but it is an excellent save from Yenith Bailey as she gets a hand to the shot to push it over the bar.

  15. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Brazil 1-0 Panama

Bia Zaneratto with a great chance for a second goal, but a heavy first touch gives Panama goalkeeper Yenith Bailey a chance to deflect the shot behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

This is a watershed moment for Panama, being on this pitch in this World Cup.

  17. Two touches for the keeperpublished at 30 mins

    Brazil 0-0 Panama

Brazilian goalkeeper Leticia has touched the ball once, a pass to her team-mate, and just as I write that then doubles her contribution with another simple pass for touch number two.

    Brazil 1-0 Panama

The biggest win of this tournament before today was Japan's 5-0 success over Zambia on Saturday, before Germany did better with a 6-0 victory against Morocco earlier today.

You wouldn't bet against Brazil recording an even bigger win. Twenty-seven minutes of absolute dominance. The only surprise is they've only scored once.

  19. 'Terrific header'published at 12:24 British Summer Time 24 July 2023

    Brazil 1-0 Panama

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV

It has been a long time coming.

Brazil have been in the wide areas a lot in this match and it's a good ball in this time.

That's a terrific header from Borges.

Brazil look so confident. They all know how each other moves in the system and the flair players interact so well.

  20. goal

GOAL - Brazil 1-0 Panamapublished at 19 mins

    Ary Borges

It had very much been coming.

Ary Borges, at the back post, waits for Debinha's excellent cross and produces a superb powerful header, heading it down and past Yenith Bailey, to give Brazil a fully-deserved lead.

It is probably going to be the first of many goals here.

Ary Borges is overcome with emotion though and is in tears as she celebrates putting her side ahead in the Women's World Cup. A moment she will never, ever forget.
