    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bristol City

Really disappointing corner-kick from Bristol City, Kasey Palmer swung his kick straight into the first man.

Boro have some concern over striker Ashley Fletcher, who spent four months out with a hamstring injury but who has tentatively been holding that area in the last few minutes.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

Centre-back Christoph Zimmermann is first in the book for Norwich for a late challenge on Jeremie Bela.

Birmingham barely laid a glove on the Canaries in the reverse fixture in October, but the home side are putting plenty of crosses into the box here.

  3. Postpublished at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Derby 0-0 Huddersfield

Derby had a chance to head in there but Colin Kazim-Richards got it all wrong as the ball looped in front of goal.

Over the top. Graeme Shinnie had guided it his way.

Another surge down the right produces a corner and Derby have wrestled some control of this game, after the visitors' enterprising start.

  4. Postpublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

Aitor Karanka's Blues have started surprisingly brightly, but Norwich look devilish whenever they go forward.

A win for the Canaries here would be their 10th away league win this season, and they have been promoted in each of their five seasons when they’ve reached double figures for away wins.

  5. Postpublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bristol City

Some improvement from Bristol City here as Famara Diedhiou gets a snapshot away and Marcus Bettinelli gets down well to parry.

The set-piece almost results in a Boro breakaway but a free-kick is given against Duncan Watmore as he tore forward.

  6. Postpublished at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Derby 0-0 Huddersfield

David Marshall makes a terrific save at close range, tipping over the flick by Fraizer Campbell, after Pipa's cross rolled across the six-yard box.

Derby living dangerously there. Fine save from the Scotland international. Opened up by Juninho Bacuna's pass.

  7. More goals in League Onepublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

Shrewsbury have doubled their lead at home to MK Dons inside 10 minutes, courtesy of Oliver Norburn's penalty.

And Jayden Stockley has powerfully headed in from a corner to put Charlton in front at home to struggling Burton Albion.

  8. CLOSE!published at 19:11 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bristol City

Bristol City almost in as Paddy McNair has to clear off the line from Nahki Wells after he clipped past Marcus Bettinelli.

Seconds earlier, Boro went close when Neeskens Kebano worked a yard on the edge of the box with a one-two with Duncan Watmore, but his fierce shot struck team-mate Ashley Fletcher and was cleared.

  9. Postpublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

Norwich left-back Dimitris Giannoulis finds Kenny McLean in the box and the Scotland midfielder forces a decent save out of home keeper Neil Etheridge.

The Championship leaders won at St Andrew's just six days ago - beating Coventry 2-0 - and I can tell you the pitch hasn't got any better since then.

  10. Postpublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bristol City

Boro testing out the visiting defence with some smart work through the middle, but Neeskens Kebano's pass to Marc Bola pushes the defender a little wide and his cross is stubbed away.

Attack versus defence at the moment.

  11. Postpublished at 19:07 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Derby 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield certainly not cowed by their trip to Pride Park so far, Carlos Corberan's side have started with plenty of energy but not troubled the Rams defence.

No wonder, their 4-1 win against Swansea at the weekend was a real morale-lifter.

  12. League One leaders behindpublished at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

Our first goal of the evening comes in League One, where Swindon are in front at Sincil Bank against leaders Lincoln through Jordan Garrick.

Shrewsbury lead against MK Dons too, with Sean Goss on target.

There's also been an early goal in League Two - Joshua Kayode giving Carlisle the lead at home to Tranmere.

First chance of the game goes Middlesbrough's way, though not a shot truly worthy of the word from Sam Morsy as it sailed harmlessly wide.

Boro had pumped a free-kick in just before that.

Then at the other end, Nakhi Wells has the ball pinched off his toes by Boro keeper Marcus Bettinelli as he chased a through ball.

  14. Postpublished at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Birmingham 0-0 Norwich

A half-chance for underdogs Birmingham in the opening minutes.

Gary Gardner gets away from his marker from a Jeremie Bela free-kick but can't connect with the ball - he was very close to it, though.

  17. Wycombe need to start winningpublished at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Wycombe v Reading (19:45 GMT)

Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe continue to battle away but it's getting to the point where they simply need to string some results together if they are to have any chance of pulling off a great escape.

They're 11 points from safety and have won just one of their past 10 home league games, taking on a Reading side who have lost three of their last four matches.

However, the fifth-placed Royals have been solid on the road and are looking to keep four consecutive away league clean sheets for the first time since August 2011.

  18. Out-of-sorts Luton host in-form Lionspublished at 18:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

    Luton v Millwall (19:45 GMT)

Luton have scored just three goals in their past eight games and boss Nathan Jones was far from happy with his players after their 3-0 defeat at his former employers Stoke on Saturday.

Gary Rowett's Millwall, meanwhile, have strung together an eight-game unbeaten run, though they have drawn a league-high 15 games this season.

The Hatters will be trying to avoid consecutive home league defeats under Nathan Jones for the first time since April 2016 - when they were in League Two.

If selected, winger Tom Ince could be important, having scored five goals and set up two more in his last seven Championship games against Millwall.

  19. Can Millers get back on track?published at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

Rotherham v Nottm Forest (19:45 GMT)

Rotherham United's yo-yo existence in the Championship is something Paul Warne is desperate to break this season, but a mini-revival has been halted by three straight defeats.

The good thing for them is home form against Nottingham Forest is excellent - no defeat in nine at home. The goalscoring talents of Matt Crooks (below) and Michael Smith are also needed to rediscover some form.

Forest though, without the barrage of chants relating to the miners' strike in the 1980s, arrive at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on a run of one defeat in their past six.

Keeping clear of the bottom three is their goal; Rotherham need to reel them in to aid their own survival hopes.

  20. Pearson returns to familiar groundpublished at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2021

Middlesbrough v Bristol City (19:00 GMT)

Nigel Pearson and JuninhoImage source, Getty Images

Of all the places for Nigel Pearson to rock up and take a look at his new Bristol City side in action, it had to be a club where he was feted as an all-action defensive rock of a skipper: Middlesbrough.

Nottingham-born Pearson was a real favourite at Boro, some achievement given their usual heroes are either born on the banks of the Tees or are Brazilian stars like Juninho.

Coincidentally, Pearson is just the type of centre-half that latter-day Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock would have lapped up at the Riverside - dominant, good in the air and a salt-of-the-earth leader.

Warnock will have to hope Boro can clip the visitors' wings in front of their new gaffer, who will be bird-watching a Robins side, on a run of six defeats, from the stands.
