Seven games into the season and Reading are five points clear at the top of the Championship.

The Royals have conceded just once in their opening seven matches and are yet to taste defeat.

They visit a Blackburn side who put four past 10-man Coventry on Saturday and are the division topscorers so far this campaign with 16.

Both teams have made two changes from the weekend, with Reading recalling one-time Blackburn loanee Lucas Joao.

League One and League Two update

Who doesn't love an early goal?

League One promotion hopefuls Hull City certainly don't. The Tigers lost against Peterborough at the weekend, and have fallen behind to James Daly's second-minute goal at Bristol Rovers.

Carlisle already lead 2-0 against Morecambe in League Two.

The Cumbrians went ahead through an own goal from Yann Songo'o within the first 60 seconds, and Jon Mellish added a second in the third minute.

And Leyton Orient are 1-0 up against fifth-placed Exeter, who are unbeaten in six.

    League Two update

Crawley Town are really making hay in the early kick-off.

John Yems' side are now 3-0 up against Tranmere.

Tom Nichols and Jordan Tunnicliffe have got on the scoresheet inside the opening 25 minutes.

The Reds are unbeaten in their last 12 home games in League Two - winning eight and drawing four - since a 1-0 defeat by Exeter in November last year.

The first Championship game of the day comes at Oakwell, where Valerien Ismael takes charge of Barnsley for the first time.

The former Crystal Palace defender has agreed a three-year deal after Gerhard Struber departed to the USA to manage New York Red Bulls.

Ismael was watching on from the stands as his new side drew 1-1 at Millwall on Saturday - a result which means the South Yorkshire side are still without a league win this season.

The Tykes have drawn their past three games, and visitors Queens Park Rangers aren't in great nick either.

The west Londoners are six without a win since their opening-day victory over Nottingham Forest.

Will former Nurnberg, Wolfsburg, Apollon Smyrnis and LASK boss Ismael be able to mark his debut with all three points?
