We have some bad news to report. The EFL party is over for night.

Reading were the big winners of the evening, with Veljko Paunovic's men extending their unbeaten start and their lead at the top of the Championship.

There was plenty of drama in League One and League Two as well, with Barrow recording their first win since their promotion from the National League.

There are six more Championship games to come tomorrow evening, including a juicy top-six clash between Bournemouth and Bristol City.

Thanks for your company this evening - see you again next time.

I don't think even the most ardent Reading fan would have expected their side to be SEVEN points clear after eight matches but... here we are.

Swansea move up to second with a 2-0 win over Stoke.

Bristol City have the chance to go back up to second spot when they visit sixth-placed Bournemouth tomorrow, but a win for the hosts will see them take that spot instead.

    Djed Spence (90+5 mins)

    That'll be that then.

Coventry are pushing for a leveller but the hosts break and Djed Spence does well to to beat Marko Marosi in the Sky Blues goal and finish.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

Wycombe thought they got a winner as another Joe Jacobson swings into the net but the referee has spotted a foul on Ben Foster by Alex Samuel.

    Wycombe 1-1 Watford

    Double change for Wycombe.

Daryl Horgan and Adebayo Akinfenwa make way for Uche Ikpeazu and Fred Onyedinma.

Akinfenwa making his first start of the season has put in a great shift but will feel he should have scored with that great chance in the first half.

    Late leveller for the visitors!

There's more than a little bit of luck to it as Kenny McLean's effort from 20 yards takes a huge deflection and gives David Raya no chance.

    Wycombe 1-1 Watford

Route one stuff from the home side.

From a goal kick, Adebayo Akinfenwa flicks it to Scott Kashket who races away into the box and gets a shot off from the left but Ben Foster keeps him out with his leg.

The Watford keeper has been excellent this evening.

  18. goal

GOAL: Swansea 2-0 Stokepublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

A defensive nightmare for the Potters.

Jake Bidwell loops a ball up into the Stoke area to nobody in particular but nobody goes to deal with it, it bounces up and Kasey Palmer heads it beyond the onrushing Angus Gunn in the Stoke goal.

The former Chelsea man takes a heck of a whack for his troubles but looks to be ok.
