And that's now stumps at all eight grounds.

Let's have a look at the close of play scores...

  4. Close of play at Edgbastonpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Warks v Northants 372-2

A day of total dominance for Northants in B5.

They were sent in but it proved a disastrous call by Will Rhodes.

Ricardo Vasconcelos made 156 and Will Young 134 as the racked up 287 for the first wicket.

Neither could go on to a huge score but Emilio Gay and Luke Procter have eased Northants to the close with the chance to bat Warwickshire completely out of the game tomorrow.

A trudge of a day for the Bears.

But no excuse for finishing half an hour late - and that’s even with 15 overs of spin.

  5. Close of play at Beckenhampublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Kent v Surrey 318-4

Kent were boosted by the late wicket of Ollie Pope, but Ben Foakes goes to stumps unbeaten on 86.

    Surrey's day in the sunshine.

A opening day dominated by Lancashire's batters and Keaton Jennings comes to an end.

Yorkshire reduced their rivals to 12-2 early on, but a stand of 237 between Jennings and Steven Croft put Lancashire firmly in the driving seat.

A big ask for the hosts to fight their way back into this on day two.

Two overs to go in Leeds.

    Any late drama?

Keaton Jennings has 146. Are we going to see him back in and England shirt this summer?

Certainly a huge amount for new Test coach Brendon McCullum to consider over the next few weeks.

    Pope c Robinson b Stevens 96 (Kent v Surrey 301-4)

    Darren Stevens!

The 46-year-old gets Ollie Pope late in the day at Beckenham as the England batter nicks him down the leg-side and behind.

Pope just misses out on a 14th first-class century. Big boost for Kent.

    Scott Read
    ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Lancashire

Steven Croft and Keaton Jennings enjoyed a double century partnership for Lancashire - the first for the Red Rose against their rivals since Paul Horton and Mohammad Yousuf in 2008.

It was Croft's 16th first-class ton of his career and Jennings a second successive one to start the season and his third in a row against Yorkshire for Lancashire.

    Yorkshire v Lancashire 266-3

Six overs left in the day at Headingley.

Keaton Jennings has 137. Can he see it through to cap Lancashire's dominance?

  15. Stokes equals recordpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Durham 299-9 v Glamorgan

    Martin Emmerson
    ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Newcastle

It is only his second appearance of the season but Durham's Ben Stokes has equalled the record for the most number of sixes at the club in a first-class campaign.

17 of them were scored in his innings last week at Worcester. Today he only hit the two, both slog sweeps off Marnus Labuschagne through deep mid-wicket. But it takes him level on 19 with the record set by John Morris way back in 1994.

Stokes has perished though. He was eventually caught behind off Michael Hogan on 82. And Durham may well have left themselves short here. This is a 350-run track at the least. They are 299-9 v Glamorgan in the 83rd over and one away from a third batting point.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Young c †Burgess b Hannon-Dalby 134 (Warks v Northants 343-2)

A sad end for Will Young who tickles one down the leg side.

Big bonus for the Bears with 12 overs still remaining.

Northants do raise a fourth point and should waltz to a fifth.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Hildreth c †Bracey b Taylor 53 (Glos v Som 292-4)

Matt Taylor with the second new ball and he gets James Hildreth caught behind by one slanted across the right-hander.

    Ends a stand of 85.

    Much-needed for the Glosters.

  18. 50 runs

for James Hildrethpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Glos v Som 291-3

Gloucestershire took three wickets in the afternoon but Somerset are taking the evening session so far.

The veteran James Hildreth reaches a third fifty of the summer, this in 95 balls.

    10 overs left at Bristol.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Croft lbw b Rauf 104 (Yorkshire v Lancashire 249-3)

    FINALLY!

The epic third-wicket partnership of 237 is brought to an end as Steven Croft goes lbw to Haris Rauf. He's plumb in front playing back to a ball he probably should have been forward to.

Can Yorkshire sniff out another couple tonight? If so they'll be right back in the game.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 12 May 2022

    Stokes c †Cooke b Hogan 82 (Durham 299-8 v Glam)

No hundred for Ben Stokes and huge relief for Glamorgan.

He’s nicked one from Michael Hogan that’s bounced a fraction and left him just enough to catch the edge.
