Yorkshire will need seven more wickets for victory when the sides resume.

A draw is looming large with two sessions left of this match.

A largely uneventful session has seen Warwickshire clock up 63 runs at little more than two an over against bowling that has been accurate but not too threatening.

Dominic Sibley has made his way to 46 not out, and he is grinding his team towards safety. Although as the scoring has been so slow, any signs of a declaration are still a good way off.

Worcestershire will need 315 to win and there are a minimum of 78 overs left in the day.

The dismissal of Chris Benjamin by Matt Parkinson early on the final day hasn't, on it's own, changed the widespread view that this match is likely to end in stalemate.

On another dull, grey, but dry day in Manchester, Warwickshire are aiming to bat long enough to make the game safe. If they're still in at tea they'll have probably done the job.

In that case, without setting Lancashire any sort of gettable target, they're likely to give the home side a session to survive.

Parkinson has been getting some turn but the pitch doesn't look as if it's deteriorated enough to cause great alarm to the batters.

Still no breakthrough for Yorkshire as we approach an hour's play on this last day at the Ageas Bowl.

Joe Weatherley (25 not out) and Mason Crane (4 not out) have added another 23 runs to their overnight score.

Earlier in the season, there have been two other last-day successful rearguards on this ground to secure draws by both Gloucestershire and Surrey so Hampshire will be hoping the omens are in their favour.

So the eight points for a draw would take the Bears back to the top, while Yorkshire are well placed to get the 16 from a win at Hampshire. And it perhaps shows that every point is going to be vital over the next few weeks.

Tim Murtagh makes another breakthrough as Middlesex look odds on now to pick up a win against Derbyshire.

Leus du Plooy plays an ugly-looking shot off the right-armer which sees him under-edge the ball on to his stumps from an attempted slog sweep and is bowled for 13.

That leaves Derbyshire on 60-3, still needing 274 more to win.
