Surrey lose a fifth wicket and they still trail by one run.
Ben Foakes edges Tim Murtagh to slip where Sam Robson takes the catch.
This could all be over by lunch if Surrey can't find a way to build a decent partnership. Jordan Clark joins Jamie Smith in the middle at Lord's.
Sussex 221 v Yorkshire 150 & 183-5
Gary Ballance has reached his half-century in the opening half-hour of play at Hove.
It's come off 120 balls, with four fours, and he did get away with one on 49 as he pulled Ollie Robinson to long leg where Sussex's sub fielder almost made it in time to pull of a catch.
Warwickshire 265-9 v Essex 295
Warwickshire number nine Danny Briggs goes to his half-century at Edgbaston.
He's led the Bears recovery from 193-8 against the defending champions.
Can they now sneak past Essex's first-innings score? Another 31 runs is quite a tough ask with one wicket left.

Worcs 436 v Notts 115-1
Nottinghamshire's opening stand has ended at 115.
Worcestershire spinner Brett D'Oliveira has just removed Ben Slater, caught at slip, for 45.
Northants 284-7 v Glamorgan 407
After that flurry of early wickets it's settled down a bit and there are no such problems for Gareth Berg (35*) who has just hit consecutive boundaries to push the Northants score on.
His partnership with debutant Wayne Parnell (37*) is now worth over 70 and these are valuable runs in pursuit of Glamorgan's big first-innings total.
Warwickshire 259-9 v Essex 295
Jamie Porter has finally got through Warwickshire's ninth-wicket partnership - he's removed Craig Miles lbw for 25.
Miles' stand with Danny Briggs was worth 66. Could be crucial.
Worcs 436 v Notts 113-0
The batsmen continue to dominate at New Road where Ben Slater and Haseeb Hameed's opening stand for Notts has now gone beyond 100.
Hameed has 62, Slater 44.
Warwickshire 257-8 v Essex 295
No early drama at Edgbaston where Danny Briggs and Craig Miles have taken Warwickshire past 250 and to a second batting bonus point.
Their ninth-wicket stand is worth 64.
Durham 475 v Derbyshire 148-6
Wickets are tumbling on this third morning.
Paul Coughlin has removed Debyshire batsman Wayne Madsen for 76 to leave them in real trouble.
Three batsmen have gone to the first deliveries of the day. Not sure I've ever seen that before.
Crawley c Davies b Bailey 60 (Kent 86-5 v Lancashire 525)
England man Zak Crawley is also out with the first ball of the day - incredible!
He edges Tom Bailey behind in a start that he probably didn't envisage over his breakfast this morning.
Unbelievable start to the day's action.
