Daniel Bell-Drummond only managed three in the first innings but he's in much better shape this time around.

Fellow opener Jordan Cox, out for a duck in the first innings, now has 37 from 64 balls as Kent close in on 100.

WICKETpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Moores c Leach b D'Oliveira 62 (Worcs 436 v Notts 261-6)

    What an incredible over.

Tom Moores takes 24 off the first five balls from Brett D'Oliveira - 6,4,6,4,4.

But he then skies the final delivery and is caught at long-on.

It leaves Notts in a bit of bother, six down and still trailing by 175.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Lloyd c Vasconcelos b Buck 38 (Northants 364 v Glamorgan 407 & 54-1)

    Important wicket for Northants!

David Lloyd had been looking good but he's gone to a fairly straightforward dismissal as Nathan Buck has him caught behind with Glamorgan's lead at 97.

    Leics v Somerset 2-0 (target 115)

Tom Lammonby and Tom Banton get Somerset's chase under way.

Lammonby could do with a knock to get his season going. He's scored just 13 runs in five innings so far.

Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper goes to fifty in some style at New Road.

He smacks spinner Brett D'Oliveira for six, four, six to reach his half-century off 68 balls.

Tough going for the Pears this afternoon as they search for their first wicket of the session.

  8. Rushworth second on Durham wicket-takers listpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Durham 475 & 9-0 v Derbyshire 267

    Martin Emmerson
    ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Newcastle

The new ball did the trick from a Durham perspective as Derbyshire lost their last three wickets for three runs in 3.1 overs after its introduction.

Matt Salisbury bowled Fynn Hudson-Prentice for 12 with his third delivery with the new ball and in the next over Chris Rushworth got his sixth of the innings, when Sam Conners popped a dolly to Alex Lees at mid-wicket and fell for a fifth ball duck.

Harvey Hosein had reached 63 by that point and in his three previous half-centuries this season he'd remained unbeaten. Not this time. He edged Salisbury to David Bedingham at the start of the next over and Derbyshire were all out for 267 and trailed Durham by 208. But having bowled 84 overs the hosts decided not to enforce the follow-on.

Rushworth ended up with 6-58. He now has 519 first-class wickets for Durham and is second to Graham Onions who has 527.

  9. Somerset need 115 to winpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Leics 233 & 199 v Somerset 318

Marchant de Lange finishes the Leicestershire second innings by having Ben Mike caught at deep backward point for 37.

It means Somerset will have a modest target of 115 to chase.

Craig Overton was the stand-out bowler, finishing with 5-25 off 18 overs.

  10. Postpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Northants 364 v Glamorgan 407 & 53-0

Plain sailing in Northampton for Glamorgan openers David Lloyd (36*) and Nick Selman (15*).

They've started the afternoon confidently to stretch the lead four shy of 100.

  11. Postpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Durham 475 & 0-0 v Derbyshire 267

Durham have decided not to enforce the follow on and so they'll start their second innings with a lead of 208. Handy.

  12. Postpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Kent 169 & 76-0 v Lancashire 525

So far so good for Kent in their second innings.

Obviously an awful lot of work to do, but this start from Daniel Bell-Drummond (38*) and Jordan Cox (34*) is just what the doctor ordered.

  13. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Warwickshire 284 v Essex 295 & 66-5

England batsman Dan Lawrence has just settled things down for Essex alongside Adam Wheater.

Their partnership is worth 31 as the defending champions look to recover from 35-5.

  14. wicket

Derbyshire all out for 267published at 14:37 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Durham 475 v Derbyshire 267

    Well, that finished quickly.

Derbyshire lose their last three wickets for just one run with Harvey Hosein the last man to go to Matt Salisbury for 63.

They concede a first-innings deficit of 208. Will Durham ask them to follow on?

  15. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Leics 233 & 187-9 v Somerset 318

Leicestershire number 11 Gavin Griffiths survives Jack Leach's hat-trick ball.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Cockbain b Abbas 24 (Hampshire 470 v Gloucestershire 208-5)

Mohammad Abbas has bowled well this morning and is now reaping the reward with his fourth wicket of the piece.

He's bowled Ian Cockbain to break-up the growing partnership with Ryan Higgins, which brings George Hankins into the action.

Dieter Klein is caught by Marchant de Lange at mid-on first ball.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Wright c Davies b Leach 6 (Leics 233 & 187-8 v Somerset 318)

Leicestershire have taken their lead beyond 100, but they lose an eighth wicket shortly after.

Chris Wright snicks Jack Leach behind to give the England spinner his second wicket.

  19. 100 runs

for Hameedpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Worcs 436 v Notts 215-5

Notts opener Haseeb Hameed reaches his century at New Road.

It's a sixth first-class ton for the former England opener off 268 balls and his first for Nottinghamshire.

I say former, he only turned 24 in January. If he carries on this form, he may well move back into the international picture.

  20. wicket

Yorkshire all out for 305published at 14:19 British Summer Time 24 April 2021

    Sussex 221 v Yorkshire 150 & 305

Jack Carson traps Duanne Olivier lbw and has a 'five-fer'.

That wraps-up the Yorkshire second innings which was an awful lot better than the first.

Sussex need 235 for the win.
