Evatt says he has Bolton backing despite poor run
Bolton Wanderers manager Ian Evatt says he still feels supported by the club's board amid growing pressure after a poor start to the season.
The Trotters are fourth bottom in League One despite being one of the favourites for promotion, just three months on from defeat by Oxford United in last season's third tier play-off final at Wembley.
Saturday's 4-0 home loss to Huddersfield Town was their third in succession, but Evatt is remaining defiant.
"The board are fully behind me and I'm fully behind them," he told 成人快手 Radio Manchester.
"There's a real sense of togetherness. Everybody knows we're underachieving and underperforming, and only we can put it right."
Evatt is confident he retains the support of the dressing room headed into Saturday's visit of Reading to the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday.
Having won away at Leyton Orient on the first day of the season, Wanderers have yet to win in the league since but Evatt's side have defeated Mansfield and Shrewsbury in the EFL Cup and Barrow in the EFL Trophy since.
"The reaction I got immediately from the players and the board suggests that there's still things we can do together here." he added.
"I could sit here and try and justify everything after losing three games, but all I need to focus on is the players and making sure they're ready."
