Guernsey FC coach Kevin Gilligan says his side deserved 'at least a point' in their 3-2 loss at Rayners Lane in Isthmian League South Central.

A 12th-minute goal for Rio Connell and a strike from Omar Sewa Lawson three minutes later put the hosts 2-0 up.

But Guernsey fought back after half time as Ben Acey made it 2-1 before Matt Loaring's 64th-minute penalty levelled the scores.

However, Elliott Buchanan fortuitously found the net with six minutes to go as Guernsey failed to win for the eighth time in nine games this season to keep them second-from-bottom.

"We dominated today, so I'm really disappointed to not come away with at least a minimum of a point," Gilligan told 成人快手 Radio Guernsey.

"We were totally dominating, peppering their goal, it looked like it was only a matter of time until we were going to score.

"Then they caught us on a little bit of a transition and it was a kind of a strange goal and then again we got caught on the ball with a pass back and then suddenly before we knew it we were 2-0 down.

"We felt like we were the only team in it and we were going to go on and take the three points, but again it just felt like a bit of a sucker punch," Gilligan added after his side had got the game back to 2-2.

"An innocuous shot which hit the post and came up beautifully for their centre forward for an open goal tap-in.

"We still kept coming and came close to getting an equaliser towards the end, but it wasn't to be unfortunately."
