Burton Albion forward Mason Bennett is expected to miss up to six weeks after picking up a muscle injury.

Brewers boss Mark Robinson said the 28-year-old suffered an "abductor injury" while taking a shot in training on Tuesday and would be out for "four to six weeks".

The League One side lost summer signing Geraldo Bajrami to a season-ending injury last weekend, while Alex Bannon, Julian Larsson, Charlie Webster and Jack Hazlehurst also remain sidelined.

鈥淲e really are down to the bare bones,鈥 Robinson told 成人快手 Radio Derby.

鈥淚t鈥檚 not ideal, but we have to deal with it and in three to four weeks鈥 time, hopefully the situation feels different.鈥

He added: 鈥淲hen you have that amount of injuries you need to look at what you鈥檙e doing and think if you are causing any of them, but they have all been very innocuous things.鈥

Burton had a big squad shake-up over the summer but Robinson admits he still does not know his strongest team with so many players on the treatment table.

鈥淲e haven鈥檛 had a week鈥檚 training where we鈥檝e had the whole squad,鈥 he said.

鈥淎nd it鈥檚 not just about knowing my best XI, but you also have that challenge for places in training where everyone鈥檚 looking over their shoulder.

鈥淲e haven鈥檛 even reached that stage yet, but the positive is that it鈥檚 all to come.鈥
