Port Vale boss Darren Moore said he is "happy but not satisfied" with his in-form side's progress up the League Two table.

Vale's 1-0 win at Notts County on Saturday extended their unbeaten run to six matches and took them to sixth place, one point off leaders Walsall, after 10 games.

Lorent Tolaj's 23rd-minute goal proved enough to see off County, as Moore's decision to make six changes to his starting XI paid off.

"We spotted areas with Notts County where they're really strong and we had the personnel to deal with that," Moore told ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Stoke.

"We had substitutes that could come on and exploit those areas and we could have got that second goal.

"It was the third game in a week and I think we got the section right."

After relegation last season, Moore is trying to oversee an immediate return to the third tier for Vale, whose 14-point haul from the last six games is the best in League Two.

With only Saturday games now to focus on until their trip to Harrogate on Tuesday, 22 October, Moore is relishing the chance to work with a slightly less hectic schedule ahead of meetings with MK Dons and Fleetwood Town in the next fortnight.

"The big thing is we've got to the 10-game mark," he said.

"I'm really looking forward to these two weeks now because of the work we can put into them now and make our game better.

"I told the boys to keep developing and learning and building together.

"I'm looking at the squad and we're growing and developing, and I'm happy with where we're at but I'm not satisfied."
