'Carlisle can't be bottom of League Two' - Mellish

Carlisle United defender Jon Mellish says the club should not be bottom of League Two and has vowed to pull them out of trouble.
Carlisle lost for an eighth time in 11 league games this season as they were thumped 4-0 by AFC Wimbledon.
That coupled with away wins for Accrington Stanley and Morecambe saw the Cumbrians slip to the bottom of the EFL, which Mellish, 28, knows is not good enough.
"A club like this can't be bottom of League Two," Mellish told 成人快手 Radio Cumbria. "There's no hiding, we've got to roll our sleeves up."
The defeat at the Cherry Red Records Stadium was a third in five games since Mike Williamson came in as the club's new head coach.
They were relegated from League One last season and they now have lost 24 of their 32 league matches in 2024.
"We were bottom early last season and went down early," added Mellish. "We really need to show what we're about and show we want to be out of this position."
