Williamson aims to keep Carlisle mini revival going
Carlisle United head coach Mike Williamson wants to ensure that his team's mini revival does not stall.
The Cumbrians followed up last weekend's League Two win at Salford City with a 2-1 midweek victory at Morecambe in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
It is the first time since March 2023 that Carlisle have won successive games inside 90 minutes and they next travel to fellow strugglers Bromley on Saturday.
"We just want to keep building on the performances and we know results will come with that," Williamson told 成人快手 Radio Cumbria.
Carlisle remain in League Two's relegation zone, but victory this weekend would move them within one point of their opponents.
Goals remain an issue, with only two teams having scored fewer than their 13 in 15 matches, but Williamson believes his side has started to benefit from defending better with three clean sheets in their past five away games.
"We need to build on the defensive discipline we've seen in the last few weeks," he said.
"But we need to keep pushing and working hard on ways we can get behind and hurt the opposition."
