Middlesbrough assistant coach Aaron Danks has been appointed as one of Vincent Kompany's assistants at Bayern Munich.

The Englishman previously worked alongside Kompany when the latter was in charge of Anderlecht.

Danks had a spell on the coaching staff at Aston Villa, where he had two games in caretaker charge in October 2022, before moving to Boro two months later.

Kompany was appointed Bayern boss last month after two seasons in charge of Burnley.
