South Korea midfielder Paik Seung-ho has signed a two-year contract extension with Birmingham City.

Paik, 27, signed for Blues in January on a two-and-a-half-year deal from South Korean top-flight side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and has now agreed fresh terms until at least the summer of 2028.

He has played nearly every minute of Birmingham's nine league games so far - missing just two minutes against Peterborough last month - helping Chris Davies' in-form side to the top of League One.

Paik he was "delighted" with the new deal and added he feels the club "can do something really, really big".

"What we are doing every day and how we are playing every game, people can see we are going in a good process," he added.

"I feel like staying here is good for my career in football.鈥

Paik has scored one goal - the winner against Norwich on the final day of last season in the Championship - in 30 appearances.
