Wrexham midfielder George Evans has signed a new two-year contract with the League One-bound club.

Phil Parkinson's men also hold the option to extend Evans' contract by an additional 12 months.

“It feels like home, and I’ve loved every minute since I walked through the door,” Evans said.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity that the club and the gaffer gave me and I hope I’m repaying them.

“The gaffer has been incredible since I’ve been here, and this has been one of the best decisions I have made in my football career.”

Evans joined Wrexham on a two-year deal from Millwall in September 2023.

The 29-year-old, who can also played as a centre-back, made 27 league appearances last season as Wrexham secured promotion from League Two.

Evans came through the ranks at Manchester City and has also played for Reading and Derby County.

On Evans' extension, manager Parkinson said: “We’re really pleased that George has signed his new contract.

“He came in and played a pivotal role for us and I’m looking forward to working with him again this season.”
