Portsmouth defender Connor Ogilvie feels they have got to grips with the Championship.

Pompey failed to win any of their opening nine games after promotion from League One last season but head into Wednesday's meeting with Millwall looking to record back-to-back victories for the first time this term.

"I think we're adapting to the Championship - it was a tough start but I think we're getting there now," Ogilvie told 成人快手 Solent.

"We didn't want the gap (at the bottom) to get bigger and we're clawing it back and we need to keep doing what we're doing on the front foot and being aggressive."

The former Gillingham full-back has chipped in with two goals himself this season, making him the club's joint-second top scorer and is pleased with how they are now approaching games.

"We're much better on the front foot - just sitting in and waiting for the opposition to score is like a slow death.

"We're not used to losing games and we've dealt with that as a group and it's been good in training and we're starting to see that on a game day."

Ahead of the midweek schedule Portsmouth are second from bottom in the Championship, four points adrift of safety.
