Cheltenham Town's home EFL Trophy match against Reading has been postponed due to heavy rainfall.
Both clubs posted on social media that the pitch at the EV Charger Points Stadium was "unsafe to play on" and the game would be moved to a rearranged date in due course.
Both Cheltenham and Reading won their respective opening ties in the EFL Trophy. The Robins defeating Newport County 2-1 and the Royals beating West Ham United Under-21s 3-1.
"The surface at the EV Charger Points Stadium was playable until around 16:30 when surface water began to appear as the drainage system had rapidly filled up," Cheltenham said in a statement.
"With the nature of the downpours and their timing, there was no way in which the ground staff were able to foresee this issue."
As well as significant rainfall in Cheltenham and the surrounding area on Tuesday, ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Weather have forecast heavy showers and a chance of thunder heading into the night.
