Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson says midfielder Joel Randall is unhappy at the club despite signing a new three-year contract during the summer.

Randall, 24, missed the Posh's 3-2 loss at Birmingham City and Ferguson was bullish in his response to questions about the situation.

He says the player will not be involved in future squads because of his attitude in training, having been made the club's highest-paid player.

Ferguson told 成人快手 Radio Cambridgeshire: 鈥淗e鈥檚 not happy at the club; he鈥檚 made that clear and his attitude suggested that in training."

Ferguson added: "He's not going to be part of the squad. We've just given him a contract that makes him the highest-paid player at the club, and now he's not happy.

"I've had to deal with it. I've been consistent - if players don't want to do the right things, they won't be part of the group.

"It is that simple, but the chairman has given him a new contract."

Peterborough took a two-goal first-half lead at St Andrew's through goals from Ricky-Jade Jones and Emmanuel Fernandez, but suffered defeat after Willum Willumson and Krystian Bielik scored for Birmingham either side of an Oscar Wallin own goal.
