Charlton Athletic have triggered a one-year extension clause in Miles Leaburn鈥檚 contract.

It means the 20-year-old striker - who would have become a free agent next summer - is under contract at The Valley until the summer of 2026.

The academy graduate, son of former Addicks frontman Carl, has scored 22 goals in 63 appearances for the Addicks since making a goalscoring debut in July 2022.

He is the second academy graduate in recent weeks that Charlton have been able to tie down to extended terms after defender Zach Mitchell signed a new long-term contract.

The Addicks also remain in talks with Leaburn over a new contract that would take him beyond 2026.

"Miles is a very talented player and has done really well since arriving into the men鈥檚 first team in the summer of 2022," technical director Andy Scott told the club website.

"He has fantastic technical ability and really good physical attributes, with his pace, height and power.

"Mentally he has shown his resilience to come back stronger from a very tough injury last season."
