Mangan in running to take over as Shrewsbury boss

Former Shrewsbury Town striker Andy Mangan is a candidate to take over as Salop head coach, reports ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Shropshire.
The 38-year-old had two spells at the Meadow between 2014 and 2016 and is now assistant at Stockport County.
He took charge of seven games as Bristol Rovers caretaker manager last season, winning four, drawing two and losing only once.
League One side Shrewsbury are looking for a new boss after Paul Hurst was sacked following their FA Cup defeat by Salford City last weekend.
Mangan was denied a high-profile move to Real Madrid in September after being refused a work permit.
He is the second former Shrewsbury player to be linked with the vacancy, with ex-Preston and Plymouth boss Ryan Lowe touted by former team-mate Jamie Tolley as an ideal candidate.
Town, who have won just one of their past 12 matches in all competitions, are 23rd in League One going into this Saturday's trip to managerless bottom club Burton Albion.
