Derby County boss Paul Warne says beating automatic promotion rivals Bolton Wanderers is no reason for the Rams to get carried away.

The 1-0 win moved Derby, who are in the second of the automatic promotion spots in League One, four points clear of Bolton in third.

While it is the biggest gap Derby have had in the race for a top-two finish, Warne has contained his excitement.

"It's no good thinking we have it sussed, because we haven't," he said.

"Does it give you a good position in the league to get automatic promotion? Of course it does.

"But I don't think it means anything more than a win. If feels good, it's a win, but there's seven games left."

When asked by 成人快手 Radio Derby how big a four-point advantage feels so late in the season, Warne said: "We will see. I don't know if it is big, big enough or too big?

"We can enjoy the win but, but we have to back it up."

'Special moment' for Wildsmith

With the victory against Bolton coming in front of a crowd of more than 32,300 at Pride Park - the most that Derby have packed in at home for more than seven years - Warne said there is good reason for "everyone to be excited" and he wanted players to enjoy the atmosphere.

Kane Wilson's second-half goal had the home fans in euphoria, but two huge saves from Joe Wildsmith - including a stunning effort to deny Jon Dadi Bodvarsson in the first half - also proved decisive.

The Rams goalkeeper put it down to "goalkeeping instinct" and spoke of his pride in ensuring Derby remain heading "in the right direction".

He said: "It's one of those days as a goalkeeper that you sort of dream about.

"You hope you help your team get a win, and keep a clean sheet, and for it to come in a game of this magnitude with this atmosphere is a special moment."
