Will Davies struck in stoppage time as York won 2-1 at Oxford City to send the hosts to the bottom of the National League.
York had taken a deserved lead in first-half stoppage time when Dipo Akinyemi fired in on the rebound, having already seen an earlier shot strike the post.
Aaron Williams-Bushell brought the hosts level just after the hour-mark when Mitchell Roberts pulled the ball back into the centre for him to fire in.
York's Ryan Fallowfield saw an audacious effort from midfield strike the crossbar as both sides had chances to take the win but, just as they had in the opening 45 minutes, York left it late before Davies won it at the death.
