Morecambe have signed Wigan Athletic midfielder Joe Adams on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old from Guernsey is yet to make a senior appearance for Wigan.

He could make his debut for the Shrimps, who are 17th in League Two, in Saturday's home game against Mansfield.

"He can play in the eight or the 10. He travels with the ball really well and he's going to be an exciting one for the fans," boss Ged Brannan
