Anton Dowds' first-half goal gave Ayr United a narrow Scottish Championship win over visitors Airdrieonians.
Dowds headed home from Jamie Murphy's corner on the quarter-hour mark.
Rhys McCabe, Charles Telfer, Dean McMaster, Liam McStravick and Calum Gallagher threatened an equaliser for Airdrie.
Dowds, Logan Chalmers, Jack Young, Aiden McGeady and Paul Smith had chances for Ayr as they moved above their opponents on goal difference.
