Michael Duff applauds Swansea's fans after the draw with Huddersfield

Michael Duff says he must accept fans' frustration after he was booed by sections of Swansea City's support following their draw with Huddersfield.

Swansea were booed off despite salvaging a point thanks to Charlie Patino's 94th-minute goal.

Duff was then given similar treatment by many of the fans still in the Swansea.com Stadium's vocal East Stand when he went to applaud them.

"I'll never not go over there," Swansea's head coach said.

"I'll never shirk that one. But the actual game, I don't know how we have not won it."

Swansea dominated for long spells against Huddersfield but looked destined for defeat after Ben Cabango's early own goal.

Patino's cool finish meant Duff's side got something from the contest, but they are just five points above the Championship's bottom three having won only once in their last eight games.

They have only two home league victories this season, with three points taken from the last 15 on offer on their own ground.

"We've not won enough games at home," Duff said.

"They (the fans) are probably just as frustrated watching the same game as everyone else is.

"We had 80% of the ball, 23, 24 shots, Carl [Rushworth] has made one save in the game with his feet.

"The emotional side is 'oh it's not good enough', but it's very rare you dominate a Championship game to that level. When you do, you have to win it.

"I can make all the excuses in the world but you have to win. That's part of my job. You get clapped when you win and you get booed when you don't. It is what it is."
