Watford full-back Ryan Andrews has agreed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with the Championship club.

The 19-year-old has made 12 appearances this season and scored his first senior goal in a 2-0 win over Birmingham City.

He has also won three caps for England's under-20 side and played against Germany earlier this week.

"I've worked so hard to get to where I am now, but I'm not finished and there's a lot more to be done," he told the club website.

"This is my first full season with the first team, although I was with the senior squad towards the end of last season."

Andrews added: "As a team, if we keep working the way we are working then the good results will keep coming. Personally, I just want to play as many games as I can this season and contribute with assists and goals."

He is the son of Wayne Andrews, who played 35 games for the Hornets at the start of his career in the 1990s.
