Hamilton Academical 5-2 Alloa Atheltic (agg 5-3): Championship side come from three down in incredible play-off
Hamilton Academical prolonged their second-tier status for at least another week after clawing back a three-goal deficit to defeat 10-man Alloa Athletic in an incredible Scottish Championship semi-final play-off.
Alloa, who travelled to Lanarkshire with a 1-0 lead, were in dreamland after Connor Sammon and Stefan Scougall had them three up on aggregate, despite being a man down after George Stanger's dismissal for a second booking eight minutes prior.
But five Hamilton goals in an extraordinary 15-minute spell turned the game in the favour of John Rankin's men, who will face Airdrieonians over two legs to determine who will play in the Championship next season.
Dario Zanatta and Andy Winter netted a brace each to put Rankin's side 4-3 up at the break, before Winter completed his hat-trick after the interval to seal a remarkable win.
